Abstract

The research was conducted at the Probolinggo City Land Office, and was carried out by direct observation or field survey, so that researchers knew what causes disputes and how to solve them, based on the procedures that apply at the Probolinggo City Land Office.The approach method used by the author is an empirical approach method. In this research, researchers carry out an investigative process that is carried out actively, diligently and systematically to find, interpret and revise facts. Research can also be interpreted as a logical process to get answers to questions asked using empirical information.The research results show that.The research results show that:The causes of land disputes in general are overlapping regulations, inadequate regulations, overlapping judiciary, complicated settlements and bureaucracy, high economic value, increased public awareness, permanent land while population increases, and poverty.What is the role of the Land Office in Handling Land Conflicts, Disputes and Cases in Probolinggo City: implementing court decisions regarding land dispute resolution and conflicts that have obtained permanent legal force, Resolving land disputes and conflicts out of court in the form of cancellation of land rights, registration in land certificates/books, issues land administration letters/decisions, stipulates several criteria for land cases declared resolved.
