Abstract

Low-calorific coal is a type of coal with reactive characteristics, high sulfur content, low Hg values, and relatively high inherent moisture, requiring an efficient dust suppression system. This study presents an experimental investigation to understand the spray characteristics of fluid at the nozzle tip used for dust binding. Testing was performed at fluid pressures of 60 bar, 80 bar, and 100 bar using nozzle diameters of 0.5 mm and 0.6 mm. During the experiment, data were captured using length measuring tools and an angle measuring instrument. The results showed that fluid spray characteristics including spray length, spray angle, and spray width were influenced by variations in fluid pressure and nozzle diameter.
