The automation industry plays a pivotal role in the ongoing development of Industry 4.0. This study aims to develop a monitoring system capable of overseeing machinery. The monitoring system designed employs IoT technology as its foundation. Leveraging network connectivity, this system monitors connected machinery through installed sensors. The system utilizes aProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) monitored via the Grafana web application integrated with the Node-RED platform. Data captured includes temperature, water pressure, and machine speed sensors, providing insights into the condition and performance of machinery in the automation industry. Information from these sensors is transmitted to the monitoring system and stored in a database for further analysis. Testing of the monitoring system was conducted to assess its effectiveness. Test results revealed thatthe application successfully monitored with 100% accuracy, indicating high consistency between values displayed in the Grafana web application and those generated by the sensors. The research confirms that an IoT-based monitoring system can be utilized for overseeing machinery in restricted areas. Utilizing IoT technology and integration with the Grafana web application, this monitoring system offers an effective and efficient solution for monitoring the automation industry.
