Abstract

The  development  and  advancement  of  technology  today  greatly  affects  human  civilization  in carrying  out  every  activity.  So  that  various sophisticated  tools  appear  automatically  to  help  and facilitate every human job. One form of technological progress is the drying of salted fish.  Salted fish is  a  food  ingredient  made  from  fish  meat  that  is  preserved  by  adding  a  lot  of  salt.  The  weaknesses possessed by fish greatly hamper the marketing efforts of fishery products and not infrequently cause losses, especially when fish are abundant and the weather cannot be predicted. The problem of salted fish can be prevented by utilizing the Arduino Uno microcontroller and rain sensor and light sensor. This tool is used to detect rain and heat without having to be afraid of wet drying fish when it rains. The existence of this tool can help the process of drying fish from manual to automatic. The tool willclose the roof in case of rain or night. The fish is placed in a place where it can rotate periodically to ensure the fish can dry evenly. Based on the test results, the light intensity value is <500 and >500 during the day and  the  water  content  is  >500  during  rainy  conditions. By  using a  servo  motor  to  rotate  the  fish clothesline to turn the fish with a periodic method that aims to optimize the fish drying process.
