This research presents a comprehensive study on contact resistance measurement for PMT/PMS (Medium Voltage Distribution Substations/Continuous Simple Feeders) utilizing the Vanguard ATO-600 measurement instrument. Contact resistance is a critical parameter in evaluating the performance of electrical equipment, including PMT/PMS, as it can influence the stability and reliability of the power distribution system.The objective of this study is to investigate an efficient and reliable method for measuring contact resistance using the Vanguard ATO-600. This method is known to provide accurate and consistent measurement results, assisting in the detection of potential issues and required maintenance in PMT/PMS.The research methodology involves field testing using the Vanguard ATO-600 instrument, where various PMT/PMS units from different locations are assessed for their contact resistance. The measured data is then analyzed and compared against established standards.The study's findings demonstrate that contact resistance measurement with the Vanguard ATO-600 yields consistent and dependable results. This instrument enables timely identification of potential contact resistance problems in PMT/PMS, allowing for early corrective and preventive actions
