ABSTRACT

Adolescent reproductive health is a critical issue requiring serious attention, considering the high rates of early pregnancy and risky behaviors among teenagers. To address these challenges, KKN-BBK 5 Universitas Airlangga implemented the program "SAHABAT REMAJA: Reproductive Health Education and Herbal Turmeric Tamarind Remedy Demonstration to Improve Menstrual Flow" at SMPN 3 Gondang, Gondang District, Mojokerto Regency. This program aimed to enhance students' understanding of reproductive health and introduce turmeric tamarind herbal remedies as a natural solution to improve menstrual flow and relieve menstrual pain. The program, which included interactive education and practical demonstrations, successfully increased students' awareness of the importance of maintaining reproductive health while providing applicable practical skills. The results of this activity also support previous research on the effectiveness of reproductive health education and the benefits of turmeric tamarind remedies. Additionally, by learning about and comprehending reproductive health, students will be able to avoid harmful sexual behaviour at an early age. They will also be able to brew their own tamarind and turmeric drink and comprehend its advantages. The program is expected to have long-term impacts, with opportunities for further development through the involvement of parents and teachers and monitoring to ensure the sustainability of its impact on supporting adolescent reproductive health.
